군포 프라임필하모닉오케스트라

1997년 2월 창단된 군포 프라임필하모닉오케스트라는 국내외 정상급 지휘자를 영입하고 우수한 기량과 열의를 갖춘 연주자들로 단원을 구성하여 교향악은 물론 오페라, 발레 등 극장음악 전문 오케스트라로서 전문성을 인정받고 있다. 매년 5회 이상의 정기연주회와 더불어 국내외 주요 오페라 및 발레공연, 문화예술회관의 기획공연 등에 참여하고 있다.

1998년 유니버설 발레단과 뉴욕 및 워싱턴 공연 시 뉴욕타임즈로부터 “뛰어난 오케스트라(outstanding orchestra)”라는 찬사를 받았으며, 2000년 영국 런던 새들러즈 웰즈 극장에서 지젤과 돈키호테를 성황리에 공연하였다. 또한 2009년에는 태국 방콕에서 태국적십자사의 초청으로 한·태 수교 50주년 기념음악회를 성공적으로 개최하기도 했다.

국내에서는 피아니스트 김대진과 베토벤 피아노 협주곡 1일 전곡연주회, 6.25전쟁 60주년 기념 월드오케스트라 콘서트 등의 기획공연을 비롯하여 소프라노 디아나 담라우, 조수미, 홍혜경, 이네사 갈란테, 테너 플라시도 도밍고, 안드레아 보첼리, 호세 쿠라, 베이스 르네파페, 플루티스트 패트릭 갈루아, 발터 아우어, 오보이스트 알브레히트 마이어, 프랑수아 를뢰, 클라리네티스트 안드레아스 오텐잠머, 러시아 마린스키 발레단, 아메리칸 발레씨어터, 슈투트가르트 발레단, 국립오페라단·발레단·합창단, 유니버설 발레단 등 세계적인 연주자 및 단체들과의 협연을 통해 우리나라를 대표하는 교향악단으로 역량을 인정받고 있다.

2000년부터 군포문화예술회관에 상주하며 지역 문화 활성화에 기여하고 있는 군포 프라임필하모닉오케스트라는 2009년부터 시행된 공연장 상주단체 육성사업의 롤 모델로서 자리 매김하고 있으며, 지금까지 108회의 정기연주회를 비롯한 약 2,100여회의 공연을 통해 다양한 음악적 색채를 구현 하는 매력적인 오케스트라라는 평가를 받고 있다.

최근 오사카심포니홀에서 오사카 한국문화원 개원 20주년 기념행사인 <K-CLASSIC CONCERT>를 선보여 오사카 재외동포 및 시민들에게 감동을 선사했고, 세계적인 연출가 아힘 프라이어가 연출한 바그너 오페라 <니벨룽의 반지-라인의 황금>을 한국 초연으로 선보이는 등 국내 교향악단 발전의 새로운 패러다임을 제시하고 있다.

Gunpo Prime Philharmonic Orchestra

Prime Philharmonic Orchestra, founded in February of 1997, recruited top conductors in and out of Korea as well as musicians with outstanding talent and passion. They are recognized for their professionalism not only in symphony orchestra but also in opera, ballet, and other theatrical Concerts. Despite the difficulty of being an orchestra made up of ordinary citizens Prime Philharmonic Orchestra hires all of its members on a permanent basis and performs regular concerts at least five times a tear as well as participating in opera and ballet performances, concerts of Culture &Arts Center, and corporate music concerts.

In 1998 during the performances in New York and Washington D.C. with the Universal Ballet group, the orchestra was praised as an 'outstanding orchestra' by the New York Times. Also in 2000, the group successfully performed Giselle and Don Quixote at Saddler's Wells Theatre, London, England. In 2009, invited by the Thai Red Cross Organization, the group successfully performed a 50-year celebration musical concert to mark the diplomatic relations between South Korea and Thailand.

As a commemorative concert, the orchestra performed together with various other performers with high renown, Other performers include Soprano Su-mi Jo, Hye-kyeong Hong, Inessa Galante, Tenor Andrea Bocelli, Tenor Placido Domingo, Bass Rene Pape, Jose Cura, Flutist Patrick Gallois, Walter Auer, Oboist Albrecht Mayer, Fanocois Leleux, Clarinettist Andreas ottensamer, Violinist Dong-seok Kang, Pianist Geon-wu Beak, Ballerina Su-jin Kang and the Stuttgart Ballet Group, American Ballet Theater, Russia Mariinsky Ballet, KOREA National Opera/Ballet/Chorus, Universal Ballet Group and other national and international performers and organizations.

Prime Philharmonic Orchestra is based at Gunpo Arts &Culture Center promoting regional culture promotion. The group was selected as the official role model of outstanding residual arts organization. It was also recognized at the 4th Korean Opera Arts Award. The group has performed 102 regular shows and more than 2,000 concerts, thus be coming and important and appealing orchestra with various musical colors.
